Painting with light info

painting with light is an amazing way to create realistic and beautiful photos when tacking pictures in an completely dark room. This is used to illuminate objects or just plain draw to create anything you can think of out of light. Its also a very cheap technique for a beginner or just for fun in your spare time. For this you will need a strobe light, a camera, a few lasers, and a tripod. Exposer time is hard to tell so just go with trial and error. Try making words, shapes, and lighting up the people around you. The lower the shutter speed the better because it lets in more color. At first I tried an high shutter speed but it didn't work out good and showed less color. Try using the fire work icon in the dark room to get a better result as well this will give you a dark back ground with the lasers and other lights showing up brighter and clearer 99% of the time. If were to use any other icon then the background would be brighter and clearer and the lights would be duller and barley show up. Next try angling the tripods at different angles to get different and new pictures of the sam or new object. The scene mode that worked the best was fire work even though I tried many others.

This is an example that I my self did that I like to call Fire On An Rainbow.

Painting blog

The past week my photography class was painting with light and tacking pictures of our progress. I didn't know what to do at first but I slowly started to figure it out. My first few pictures showed to much light in them and also portrayed very little of the light we wanted to show.  After asking Mrs. Shea I found the solution to my problem. It was simple all I had to do was switch my symbol to fireworks and it would be able to take pictures of the light in a dark room without making the picture bright and sunshiny.
